Sylvana & Travis' Romantic Forest Fairytale Wedding in Niagara :)

When we first met with Sylvana & Travis, she described her vision for their wedding day as a "forest fantasy", and I knew right away we'd get along very well :) In spite of rainy forecasts, when the day finally arrived, it was absolutely perfect.. it didn't hurt to have a couple of stunningly landscaped locations, and one of the sweetest couples you've ever met :) Here are some of my favourite images from their big day..
We started the day off with Sylvana & the girls getting ready at White Oaks Spa & Resort - I loved all the flowers and sparkle woven into Sylvana's & her bridesmaids' hair!

As the location for their "First Look", Sylvana had the perfect suggestion - the Blessing Bell of Marriage in the garden of the spa :)

Fall is always my favourite time of year, but this garden was one of the most spectacularly
autumnal places I've ever been!

I loved that the groomsmen were hamming it up while we were just photographing their socks! And along with all the gorgeous colourful flowers, Sylvana's bouquet had cinnamon sticks
and pine cones - how awesome is that?!

For the family photos, we headed over to Club Roma, where the ceremony
was taking place - also stunning!

The setting for the ceremony was absolutely a forest fairytale :)
Hard to beat the level of enthusiasm of these flower girls!

This wine cask was the perfect setting for Sylvana & Travis' invitation set! I really love their birch bark cake and foresty centrepieces :)
The ceiling in the reception hall was a starry night sky - complete with the occasional shooting star!
 Photo booth fun!

Sylvana & Travis: we had such a great time photographing your wedding, and we hope that the rest of your lives together are touched with the same fairytale magic as your wedding day was! Thank you so much for having us there to be a part of it :)

Emma & Colin's Out of This Universe Wedding :)

Emma & Colin (whom you may know from their awesome Star Wars themed engagement session) are one of the cutest and funnest couples I've ever met :) We hit it off within about two minutes of meeting, and I've been eagerly anticipating their wedding ever since! When the big day finally came, it was absolutely perfect - here are some of my favourite images from their wedding at The Heintzman House...

I really love Emma's taste in shoes! A bit of a vintage feel, and such a pretty colour :)
the stunning bride, all ready to get married..

There was lots of fun being had in the groom's "getting ready" room as well - Colin has a gift for fantastically goofy behaviour in front of the camera, but we also managed to get some images of him that were a bit more relaxed. What stands out in my memory of the day is how both Emma & Colin were bubbling over with excitement and happiness :)

the "First Look" - always one of my favourite parts of the day, and I really loved this beautiful little solarium alcove :)
it's always important to test the twirliness of your dress ;)
I love the groomsmen in their pre-ceremony huddle!
If you can picture the Imperial March playing as everyone walked down the aisle, you'll get a better idea of the fun feeling that set the tone for the day :)
Unfortunately, Colin's mother was unable to travel to the wedding due to her health, but Emma & Colin arranged for the ceremony to be live streamed, and made sure she had a front row view :)

One of my favourite parts of the ceremony was when the officiant asked all the family and friends to raise their right hands and swear to support Emma & Colin in their futures together :)

Now - it was definitely an accident - but I found it hilarious (and thankfully so did Colin!) that one of the first things Emma did after becoming Colin's wife was to head-butt him ;)

Colin, whispering something hilarious in Emma's ear :)

Not only was there an awesome live band for the reception, but Emma & Colin had awesome dance moves to go with it!

Emma & Colin: You two were so adorably enthusiastic to marry each other that it touched the hearts of everyone there that day! We wish you a million more happy days together, and many fantastic adventures - whether at home or in a galaxy far far away ;)

Cheryl & Damian's Cozy Fall Wedding at the Glenerin Inn

The first time we met Cheryl & Damian in person was the morning before they got married. They live in Edmonton, but came back to Ontario to have their wedding at the beautiful Glenerin Inn, closer to where their families are. My first impression of them as a couple about to get married is that they were both very calm - they both just seemed really happy and excited about spending a great weekend with family and friends :) On the following morning it was the same, so I could tell it was going to be a really fun day!

I knew that Damian had proposed to Cheryl on a mountain-top, but didn't realize the extent of his romantic tendencies until we saw the long stemmed red roses he had given Cheryl the evening before the wedding - along with a card inviting her to a date to celebrate their one-week anniversary the following weekend (awww..). Not only were Cheryl and Damian a really relaxed and easy-going bride & groom, and a couple of the nicest people we've ever met, but both of their families were fantastic to spend the day with. Even a fire alarm going off in the middle of their ceremony didn't faze these guys!

As I was looking through the images after the wedding, I could still hear Cheryl laughing..

I loved how elegant Cheryl's gown was - my favourite part was this beautiful broach detail..
Cheryl's Aunt Chris did a beautiful job with all the flowers for the day :)
Through some sort of incredible wedding-day magic, even the wallpaper in this room at the Inn looked fantastic with the eggplant and bright green colours of the wedding :)
We planned the photos for before the evening ceremony, so that afterwards the happy newlyweds could relax and enjoy their cocktail hour. This meant we got to do one of my favourite things - a "first look" moment :) The Glenerin Inn has a beautiful patio perched above the forest it backs onto, which was the perfect spot!
We all loved the classic stone of the old Inn, and they had this beautiful sitting area that was great for the family photos..
.. and the stone exterior was perfect for some shots of the happy couple :)
The ceremony took place in this lovely intimate space, and was performed by the same woman who had done the ceremonies for Cheryl's siblings as well :)
There were three elegant cakes - each a different delicious flavour!
I loved Cheryl & Damian's wedding - it was a perfect day: a beautiful setting full of really wonderful people :) The best wish I could think of would be to hope that the rest of their lives together is full of days, moments, people, and places as lovely as their wedding day!

Cheryl & Damian - it was such a pleasure spending time with you and your families. Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your day :)
